5 CREATIVE WAYS TO DISPLAY ART ON A SMALL
WALL SPACE

Posted on December 16, 2018

If you live where there is a little wall space, where windows are all around and you being an art lover are not sure where or how to display your art, you are not alone.
Think of art as a statement rather than an accent. Art should reflect your personality. Take risk and create drama, tell a story, make conversations happen. With little creativity you can transform your space into a powerhouse and give it a whole new outlook. Studies show our surroundings can have major effects on our mood. Enhancing your environment with art enhances your life.

My focus is on smaller wall space but not small living space.

1. STACK ART VERTICALLY

Stacking artwork vertically can lengthen the height of a wall if your ceilings are low or it can give a tall ceiling it a balance with pieces of artwork.

 2. PLACE ART IN UNEXPECTED SPOTS

Small pieces of artwork fit perfectly on bookshelves and serve as a unique way to break up the rows of your book collection. Hang artwork in front of a bookcase, on the face of the shelf. The shelves and ledges become part of a great conversation.

3.USE THE LEANING METHOD

Here’s an idea as stylish as it is easy: Place your art on top of a desk, nightstand, or dresser and lean it against the wall. You can place large and small pieces alongside one another to add depth.

Simple. Chic. No nails required.

4. SPRUCE UP YOUR BATHROOM

Display affirmations artwork in your bathroom and make it part of your décor. Affirmations are a great way to change your way of thinking, develop a strong mindset, stay focused on your goals, believe in your abilities and get motivated to achieve more. To make their effect even more powerful, say them out loud in the mirror.
How beautiful is that! It brings beauty in your space as well as gives you a pep talk raising your vibrations.

5. LAYER PIECES

You can add layers of character by placing small works onto your bookshelf…a mantel. Fireplace is another perfect place to layer pieces. A house looks like a home when you decorate it with your personality with artwork and accessories."
You can create a striking and simple focal point.
