You are Unique   Back to Gallery

Recently, a friend’s social media accounts got hacked and demanded ransom that she had to take the help from the Federal Bureau. Technology has it’s pros and cons. To prevent theft, companies offer 2-way authentication now days. And one of them is your finger print. Because it is unique and it’s only one of a kind.

Likewise, each of us are born with some unique qualities, strengths that need to be recognized by you. No one has your combination of abilities, talents, appearance, friends, acquaintances, burdens, sorrows and opportunities. You are born with unique genes, body system. No one can feel your body the way you do. No one’s hair grows exactly the way yours does. No one’s finger-prints are like yours.

For instance, every artist is unique, every hand is different. Even if the artist copies an art from someone else, it cannot be copied exactly a hundred percent because the artist’s personal style will come into play and that creation will have it’s own character that sets the artist apart from others.

Your family, your surroundings, your education, your life experiences that you have gone through have made you the person you are today and truly different from everyone else on this earth.

Please don’t waste your precious energy and time on comparing yourself with your friends, co-workers or your neighbor. It will affect your self-esteem and happiness.

I know, we still tend to compare ourselves with others and make ourselves miserable. Why do we do that? We don’t have to. Instead, ask yourself questions like, what can I do to improve my quality of life? How can I be healthier? Commit to developing yourself a little by little each day. You have a unique brain, a way of thinking. And no one can take away that uniqueness from you.

“There’s no comparison between the sun and the moon. They shine when it’s their time.”

A question for you – Why are you nice with others and try to motivate them by saying nice things like, “Oh! I am so proud of you” or “you are amazing”. Whereas you criticize and beat yourselves up constantly.
Now if you say the same thing to others what you tell yourselves – “you are a failure”, “you are just lucky or you didn’t actually deserve it”, I am sure no one will talk to you then. Don’t you think so?

Treasure your uniqueness. God gave you this gift. Enjoy it . . . Use it . . . Share it!
